Doberman Pinscher - Peggy - Large - Young - Female - Dog
Hi, my name is Peggy and I'm a two year old black and tan all natural girl. Unfortunately my previous owner was more concerned about breeding me than my well being. He didn't consider me a pet, just a money maker, so they decided that I need to go live at the SPCA. Thank goodness the people next door heard about their plan and intervened. They must have known that I most likely would've been euthanized. So those lovely people next door took me and my sister away from our owners and brought us to SWODR. I have a "special" leg as a result of a birth defect but the volunteers here do not seem to care what it looks like. They say I am such a gentle sweet heart and just keep loving on me. I am a little nervous at first since I was never socialized but I'm coming out of my shell more and more everyday. All I want is a loving forever home with a nice, soft doggie bed to curl up in.
Visitors are always welcome, by appointment only.
NOTE: An adoption application MUST be submitted in order to be considered to adopt a dog through our program.
